great news, I must say the tv side of things seems to of come a fair way in the past couple of weeks we just went back a couple of steps the past few days. Looking forward to the future revisions.

Once again a bit off topic but has there been any futher ideas with the tearing problems described in this thread http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.s...c.php?t=9023&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 as nobody including myself could ever get around it with timeshifting off.

    thanks again

This problem seems to have returned with the recent CVS....:( ... I thought it was fixed back on the 20th, but maybe I was just lucky for a short while?

I have just applied CVS 10-24-2005--23-33 and now Timeshifting only works on Channel 7. If I change to any other channel and then turn timeshift ON, all I get is a black screen and no sound.

If I leave timeshift ON and try to change channels, the channel change is very slow (>10 seconds) and I just get a black screen on all channels, except channel 7......

A similar problem is already logged in Mantis.....so I guess it is already being addressed...:)

This problem of timeshifting hanging, or causing MediaPortal to abort, still exists with the latest CVS (11-10-2005--00-21).....:(

However, I have noticed that it only occurs on channels that have a non-zero AC3 PID.

I have set all the AC3 PIDs for all my channels to 0 (zero) and now timeshifting works fine....:)

I can supply log files, if required, to illustrate where the problem occurs.

    Hi Taipan,

I also had the impression that the handling of AC3 in timeshifting mode
mutes the audio on some channels. TV does not hang and it does not crash but the audio issue is still there and it depends on the audio codec

With the Hauppauge decoder I get no audio for a few channels, with dscaler I have audio for all channels but when zapping to an AC3 channel I get no audio from non AC3 channels. The effects are repeatable.
