Files menu_bg.png and videos_logo.png in general are not necessary, they do not influence on skin. The main problem that is not deduced a cover though on 4.7.9 it was deduced.

No promises but when i get a bit of a break im planning on giving titanium a bit of a refresh

Great to hear that it's not dead!

I would love to se a more unified look.

Love the menus of My TV, My Music and My Videos. But also like the look of MP-TVSeries and Moving Pictures. If you could have the menu style from My TV , My Music etc and the "look" of Moving Pictures it would be a perfect blend.

And a matching home screen.

I really like how clean this skin is. So I hope that path can be kept...

I liked the clean look too.
I was planning myself to "try" to fix some issue (I have no artistic sense at all) and I also started to write a Basic Home generator which is almost working.
I even added animation in the menu selection.

One issue which was really annoying was in the Weather screen: when you select the images, the you cannot iterate through the different kind of images.
To fix that I added the following control in the group element (as the end)

      <control>
        <description>View Button</description>
        <type>button</type>
        <id>4</id>
        <label>185</label>
        <visible>Control.IsVisible(1000)</visible>
      </control>

The visible tag will display the button only when the image control is visible.
