No - you MUST have the same revisions - everything else will be very disappointing if working at all.

However current SVN got a lot of important fixes and can be considered quite stable. I'd recommend to zip up the MediaPortal folder for a backup and give it a try :)

I can confirm that SVN of 2008-01-12 is very stable for me. That is MP SVN and TV3 SVN. I know it is probably very much hardware dependant, but I agree that you should give it a try.

    I disagree.

Todays SVN is not working with dual cards at all (No Audio/Video on one of the card)

Actually, I find my self going back to 2007-12-09 every time, I simply cant get newer ones to work any good.
Sad, but the truth for me.

Ive tried about 25 different SVN's, im about to give up.

MrMel - Sorry to hear. Like I said - very much hardware dependant. I remember posting in one of your threads early December where you asked if anyone got a svn working. That time I suggested that you supply full logs and details. Did it not help?

Don't give up yet. I am sure if you persist with testing and you supply your full results as per this support instruction, that someone will help you soon.

    Good luck.

Hardly get two SVN with same problem, always something fixed, and something else go bad instead, but all related to TV.

And without any bug reports most likely those bugs will just keep hiding there...

in many cases others have already posted the same thing over and over again, day after day, then I dont feel that another input wont change much.

I have to say that most of the so called "bug reports" that we are receiving for different SVN versions are pretty much useless. Not enough information to even try to reproduce the issue. Those are usualy just saying that tv is not working. I have to admit that I have started to ignore a lot of the SVN reports we are getting as the result of really bad bug reports.

Of cource there are good reporst also, but those seem to drown under the lot of noise that people are making.
