I've just added the possibility to Toggle the Playback state of music files.
This works only with the BASS audio engine selected.

While in Music Fullscreen, press "G" on the keyboard or the Blue button on your MCE Remote to toggle between:
    "Normal (Gap)" -> Gapless -> Crossfading -> Normal -> Gapless .........

Icons show the currently active state.

Every time MP is started, we will use what has been selected in Config. The selected state is not written back to the Config.

we might enable the Action on other windows as well, but let's use that as a start to see, how it works.

    feedback is welcome.

    rgds,

    Helmut

I'm having a bit of trouble with this.
I love the idea, but I can't seem to get it working at all. I'm pretty sure I am just being an idiot

I am using 0.2.2.0 and a recent SVN snapshot. (default Blue Two 4:3 skin)

I don't see any icon change when I press G, and don't hear any difference between songs. I tried it from Now Playing, the current playlist screen, and also while browsing my library.

What exactly is "Music Fullscreen", and where would I see an icon indicator?

Music Full screen is were you see the choosen visualisation in Fullscreen.

you can sitch to music full screen by pressing "X" on the keyboard or "red" button on an MCE remote.
The "G" key works only there.
i would like to get more feedback, before extending it to other screens.

I really like this feature and the easy toggle between modes.
    Gap: when listening to playlists
    Gapless: when listering to bootlegs
    Crossfading: when partying

My only problem is that I don't use the visualizations and really don't want turned on in normal use. And it does not seem to be possible to toggle modes if no visualisation is turned on. I quess this wont be a problem if/when it is extended to other screens.

With visualsations on... it works as a charm! The icons are great.

    Latest SVN contains some changes:

    1. Pressing "G" in any window toggles between the playback states
    2. The icon for the playback state is displayed besides the Music Overlay
    3. Assign a key to your remote yourselve

Wow, I just found this feature. Very cool. I was looking for a way to randomize/mix a playlist from the remote directly (just press an assigned button) instead of having to pull up the current playlist window and then the context menu with this command. Is this currently possible in MediaPortal, and if not, could it be added to OneButtonMusic or some other plugin that does not interfere with the feature freeze of MediaPortal?

so the currently active playlist should simply be randomised?

Yes. Does it have to be done using a plugin, or is there already functionality available inside MediaPortal's hard coded functionality? Do you agree this would be very usable for users who regularly use saved playlists?

Well, when you use regularily saved playlists, you can mark a check box in config, that playlists gets shuffled / randomised on load.
Is this enough or do you want to randomise a playlist again, once it has been played, without the need of reloading it.
