I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have successfully setup comskip for recorded shows in Mediaportal, But I was wondering if there is a tool out there that would allow me to permanently remove the ads from the recorded media so it can be imported to my xbmc library. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreicated. Thanks all.

you could also use the preinstalled plugin "VideoEditor", which uses comskip data as cutting points. Not too exact, though but you can adapt it manually from whithin the plugin.

Be careful when using ComClean - I used it for a while, but on recording an episode of Poirot for the GF it cut about 2/3 of the episode.
    Imagine:
Set up plot elements and characters, murder happens, [adverts cut from here], Poirot starts his summing up and the murder is revealed.
    Unhappy GF.

I think the bruising is starting to fade now ;)
