Ok there was a thread about this before here

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/my-tvseries-162/tosh-0-a-86429/

If the file is named Tosh.0.SxxExx

The importer returns the series name as Tosh 0 which apparently will not return a result at all

If I use the search function in the importer and put in Tosh.0 as is was originally named it finds it fine

Here is something weird though if I just ignore it in the importer and then go to Step 3 of 4: Identifying Episodes
it find the episode fine in the proper series, not sure if this has anything to do with the shows I already have in
my database with the same name but it adds it fine but there was still a problem finding the show.

Attached some pics and debug logs, In the pic you can see I didn't search for the series when it had no results I just hit next, you can also see what it shows there as the parsed series name, which it removes the "."

But it adds the show fine if you ignore the non-matched name

    MP Version: 1.2.1.0
    TV-Series Version: 3.1.1.1864

The problem is that TheTVdB only accepts Tosh.0 as a valid show if the 'dot' is indeed present.

But one of the default string replacements of MP-TVSeries is to replace any dots with spaces.

TheTVdB however also accepts "Tosh0" as a valid series name to get the "Tosh.0" result. So add a string replacement to that effect, or rename your files.

    http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=Tosh0

    Enjoy.

I already do that but I thought maybe there was a way to add something into the plugin so it would be automatic.
