Total crash(clients and server) of multiseat environment when the following is true:

Standalone TVserver (running on vista sp1)
    Active recording a show

Client 1 connects and chooses the recorded show and chooses "play from the beginning"
    (there is no problem yet)..
But when another client does the same on the recording show ALL clients crash right away.

And on the tvserver the tvservice crashes, but not totally, the service crashes and need to be started on the manual control screen (start service)..

Easily reproduced , it happens every time you do this..

    Hi,
& the logs are hidden/attached where?

    Regards
    Roy

    hello roy,

thought it wasnt needed since it can be reproduced ?

Many of developers dont have an access to multiple clients :)

I actually didnt collect logs, wife was screaming because popstars crashed :)
so i just restarted the lot to get it going again to stop the nagging ..

but will reproduce myself, with a non important show and collect the logs for your pleasure :)

then I will create the logfiles for you ..

you have choosen "play from the beginning" with every client on the recorded channel ? (thats when it crashes)..

only difference is that I have dvb-c .. but that shouldn matter ..

well I found it finally.. took me a few days... but got it..

The problem wasnt in the recording or play from the beginning at all ..

the problem was with the network connection, an overheated switch was running wild..
and sometimes caused the connection to fail ..

it is however odd.. (or at least a bug :) that when you play the same show (being recorded) on multiple machines from the beginning..
and take out the networkcable on 1 of the clients.. everything crashes... ?

THAT you can try and reproduce, but already see a simular bug in Mantis, called:"
[TV-Server 0001172]: If connection cannot be made by the client then Config & MP does not close properly

which is closed now, so should be in the next SVN ? , after applying the next SVN I will try and get it crashed again :)
