Trouble Playing RTMP (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,

I'm kind of new around this platform and I require some assistance with an RTMP site I created;

When I try to play an rtmp:\\... it fails (saying no URL was found)

When I try the same URL (replacing playpath with clip) using an online player I found it seem to work:

I use the latest versions of MP and OnlineVideos (installed just a few days ago) and using LAV filters as codecs, no other codecs are installed. I only have mediaplayer on my computer, no other players (if that matters)

What am I doing wrong here? am I missing a codec?

It looks like it does not identify the app; its loading the app as long with the playpath..

Am I using it wrong?

Should it be: rtmp://<host>/?app=<myapp>&playpath=<thepath> ? (I tried both ? and &, both seem to fail)
What is the correct parameters?

Sometimes the rtmplib cannot identify the app correctly itself, you can then specify it yourself, by building the URL with the MPUrlSource.RtmpUrl class.

Silly me, I was using GenericSite as a class instead of the Rtmp class..

Hey, it seems to be happening again on another feed I was using..

This time I was using the Rtmp class, however it still loads the playpath into the app name..
The only difference from this one to the other one that works, is when I hit play - it lets me select the source (called "10" and "21" for some reason)

If you have Rtmp as base, you can specify the value for "app" in the advanced configuration (click on the "Edit" button)

I tried that, however I was unable to enter the playpath, I tried using {0} but id didn't work.. how should I retrieve it?

no, unfortuntely the advanced parameters can only be constant values.
But if the problem is only the with the app parameter, you should fill "app".

And if after that, the playpath still isn't correctly parsed by the mpurlsourcefilter, then I think the only way to get things going, is to program a small util in c#

Okay this is strange for me but I found the solution!!!! (me = happy right now after hours of troubleshooting)

I changed the URL to: rtmp://<host>/<app> playpath=<steamname>
Mind the space after the app name.. such an easy solution took me hours to find
