I've been able to consistently reproduce the problem and am working on a solution. Turns out it was a network issue, the file gets halfway downloaded and I guess the server hosting the file sometimes disconnects at this point. I rewrote the download logic to detect this and just need to better integrate it. Will try to have a release later this week.

I just committed a fix for this. We will be doing a release in the coming days but if anyone here that was experiencing this issue is building your own DLLs, you may want to do an update to see how the new revision works for you. Feedback welcome.

And again, new version with the fix coming in a few days.

You know what... I tried it again... and today the backdrops and covers all came in nicely.....
Did a tracert to themoviedb.org... same results, i.e. past 30 hops..




Maybe the network was better today?

just wanted to chime in, i'm another user with the same problem. I'm almost always downloading on my systems, but if i run the MoPi config manually, it does not download these corrupt. Only with the auto-scrape. dunno if that helps at all.

I am very busy with work this week guys and this issue, while partially fixed, still has a little bit of work to go. So I doubt we will get a release out to fix this before this weekend. Very sorry.

However, if you change your #1 cover art provider to impawards.com this should reduce the number of truncated covers you get. The default is themoviedb.org and while they are a great resource, the image files there are sometimes really really large. This should work as a partial temporary work around.
