Trying to get music album covers to display... (1 Viewer)

Currently having difficulties to get all my album covers to display in the main Music page within Media Portal.
So far only a handful are showing?? I have scanned them and they work great once within the album (displaying the tracks etc)
I have mine set up like this:

Angels & Airwaves
ColdPlay
etc

Then within these folders are the albums related to the artist - in this view the album covers display fine.

Why won't they display on the main page, when some do work and I have no idea why?

My actual directory in Windows does also show the folder with the album picture.

What is "the main page" you are referring to? Which view are you using? (eg Shares / artist etc)

Hi,
Sorry the main page is the one once you have clicked 'My Music' from the start up. I am using shares view at the moment. But other views display the same, only a few album covers are displayed.
My folders go like this:
Artist / Artist Albums / .mp3's
Artist / Artist Albums / .mp3's
etc
Now in media portal if I click on 'Artist' it then displays the Artists albums and the display covers, but only a select few show album covers when just looking at the artists name's?

OK, what you are talking about is the folder's thumbnail.

Typically, after MP has found some cover art for an album (either via internet lookup, id3 tags (if you have that option checked in config) or existing files in the directory), it will create a folder.jpg file in the album directory. However, it normally doesn't create a thumb for the folder itself until you actually go into that folder. These are stored in the thumbs\music\folder directory in app data. In other words, you should find that in shares view, the folder thumb will only get created after you have traversed into the folder.

Hi thanks for getting back to me.
Yes that's the one I can't seem to get working, folder thumbnail.
I have the ID3 tags checked, I find the album art via the net within Media Portal and works when listing the tracks, just not on the initial Artist Name view page as mentioned above.
I have searched the /thumbs/music folder and found only 2 thumbs (2 for the same artist - different albums) and this one actually works. I have tried copying an album .jpg in to that folder and nothing works. Not sure where all the other album art work I am downloading is being saved to?
