Trying to use Saber 2020 results in BSOD on Vista (1 Viewer)

On a clean install of Windows Vista, with the newest ATi drivers (chipset and video card) and also the newest drivers for Realtek drivers for HDMI Audio and S/PDIF and analog. The TV card drivers are the one mentioned in the specs.

On Windows XP SP3, I also use the newest drivers and there MediaPortal works without a hitch: television and radio are working.

On Windows Vista, if I try to scan for channels, I get a BSOD. The card is working with Vista View's own program Saber View and Windows Media Center also works without a problem. The BSOD's are different every time. The STOP- codes are never the same and also the reason differs from BSOD to BSOD. And I can remember: BAD_POOL_HEADER and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

The reason I want to use Vista is to have the ability to use UVD to accellerate 1080P H.264 video, which isn't available under Windows XP.

What information do you need? I have a minidump and detail of one crash available if you need it.

BAD_POOL_HEADER and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

i've seen this happen twice, first was with my nvidia drivers not installing correctly, so use something like driver cleaner pro to uninstall your ATI drivers and then re-install them.

Second time was worse, turned out to be one of my memory modules, which eventually after a few times it BSOD, gave up the ghost and would not boot until the offending module was removed.

Well, I've just stress-tested the memory for more then 11 hours and no problems were found.

I'll try to reinstall the ATI drivers, but I think it won't help. It's a clean installation without old drivers.

And it happens every time I try to use the tuner, so it's very strange if memory would be the problem.
