TSB 6981 Any Good?? (3 Viewers)

Did you already send it away? I was still hoping to get a look at your TsWriter log just to confirm there is nothing going wrong there. If there was stuff going wrong with TsWriter then those symptoms might be explainable. Obviously I realise you may have tried the card in other software and confirmed it doesn't work. I'm only curious...

not quite, but its wrapped in a parcel ready to go to the post office. I did take a look in tswriter, there was nothing obviously untoward. nothing in error.log at all. If I still have the tswriter I will sent it to you for completeness.
I tried 3 different apps (dvbviewer which is tbs' own, dvbdream, plus of course MP), same behaviour with all.

once I got in email contact with an engineer at TBS I described the symptoms and he was convinced it was the second hardware path dead on the board.

I see...
If the card didn't work in other software then I definitely defer to the TBS engineer's knowledge and experience with the product. Don't worry too much about the TsWriter log - it sounds like you've done everything right to isolate the problem. I hope the next card works better for you.

an update. After some delays on the hardware change, caused mainly by TBSs local reseller in the UK, TBS sent me a new 6981 card , it now works perfectly with Mediaportal. including DVB-S2 HD channels

an update. After some delays on the hardware change, caused mainly by TBSs local reseller in the UK, TBS sent me a new 6981 card , it now works perfectly with Mediaportal. including DVB-S2 HD channels

i've also purchased my card from a UK reseller, it works fine so far, sounds like it's better to contact TBS directly instead of the reseller when i have issues???

If your issue is technical related, it's always good idea to contact the manufacturer directly for efficient and in time response
