I'm managed to record a problem that has been occuring since TsReader was implemented.

The swedish state TV sends local news broadcasts at certain times during the day, after the broadcast the channel switches back to the national news broadcast. When this switch occurs during live tv I get stuttering TV and have to do TV ON/OFF.

If I watch the recording in "Recorded TV" the picture freezes when the switch occurs.

The .TS file plays fine in VLC.

I've uploaded a sample to the MP FTP, here's the path:
    /SweMart/Rapport-2008-01-28-18_00.ts

Start viewing at 2.49/2.50, if you fast forward past it you get picture.

No difference whatever codec I used(tried the MP supplied, PDVD 7.3 and Nvidia).

    Anyone?

Just wanted to add that I used to see this for almost a year ago without TVE3. Since switching over to TVE3 I have never seen this anymore (either TSReader nor with old TSFileSource).

So perhaps a problem only with DVB-C? (I'm using DVB-T, see my spec).

    Regards

    Just analyzed the file.
There is an unhandled pts jump which causes the video to freeze.

I used to have DVB-T, back then with TVE2 it used to be a problem with the audio since the local broadcasts don't send in stereo, when national broadcasts started again I would have no audio. Had to do TV ON/OFF.

During live it doesn't freeze but I get something like 1 FPS :) Is it easy to fix?

Can it be fixed in TVE2 to?

    It's in TsReader

    Hi,

I assume this fix only applies to TVE3? I have the exact same problem with jerky playback and/or no sound after the local news is transmitted. Is this possible to fix in TVE2 also?
