Elf, you and I seem to have the exact same problem.

What DVB-T tuner do you use? OS?

I use Twinhan DTV Ter CI with 1.2.3.8 driver (I just updated to see if it made any difference, but no luck.)

ps. By the way the mp.pastebin.com seems to be behaving strange, is there another place to store log-files in a clever way?

I'm on XP Pro, and my card is a VBox DVB-T (the one that came with the Showshifter bundle, needless to say Showshifter was quickly dumped in favour of Mediaportal!). I can't say whether this is a new problem for me because I have, after a year or more with MP gotten round to using standby for scheduled recordings!

I see from elsewhere in the forums that older versions showed this behaviour, and that it differed depending on where you were in MP when the standby was initiated - e.g. if TV wasn't active, it works. Although this is marked as fixed in Mantis, and I have latest SVN of MP, it still seems to be related. I haven't yet had a chance to try different scenarios to see exactly what's happening. That looks like tonight's job!

I have been doing more experiments... but it seems not to help.

Thus far I have: Upgraded drivers for the Twinhan card, moved the Twinhan card in the box (swapped PCI-slot), reinstalled MP (I am now trying the latest SVN).

If I understand my logs correctly the card seems to tune alright but no picture is shown. Often TV is returned after a restart of MP, sometimes (10% of the cases) it seem as if the driver lost contact with the card. The feelin I am having is that it has to do with the CI+CAM somehow.

I have tried the same scenario with my Terratec card (after having disabled the Twinhan) and it works fine.

Anyone has any clues what to do next?

    Hi,
There is a known issue with manual hibernating / suspend & resume to scheduled recording, you can read the post on test forum here

And this bug applies even when I am not trying to record anything, just a suspend and resume?

    Hi,
J-B-N, no this it's only for manual Hibernation / Suspend & resume to scheduled recording as far as we has tested & confirmed, so yours seems to be different.

Ok, so how can I find out if it is bug my XP install, the hardware or in MP?

I have acculated some log files but the pastebin seems not to work... I will gladly put them anywhere I can access.

Thanx for your answers soo far...

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but my experimentation has been on hold for a little while - I'm now on the very latest SVN and the problem remains - I can confirm that...

    1. If I manually suspend or hibernate while TV is on, and manually restart, after restarting TV shows blank screen/no sound. Only a reboot fixes it.
    2. If I manually suspend or hibernate while TV is off, and manually restart, the effect is the same - no TV on restart.
    3. If I let powerscheduler hibernate or suspend, and manually restart, still no dice - no TV on restart.
    4. If I let powerscheduler hibernate or suspend, then auto-restart for a schedulre recording, TV shows blank. The recording appears as completed in the schedule, but won't play back.

In summary, it doesn't seem to matter which way I suspend/restart, TV comes back blank until a cold reboot!!
