Odd one this, tried all codecs and turning DXVA on/off; doesn't affect other file types in same situation.

So when blank screen is used in mp screensaver with turn off monitor when blanking screen the DVD playback freezes and needs to be stopped, restarted

Didn't occur with 1.1.3 or any previous 1.2 release.

Logs atttached. Logs are large as I tried many perms, I couldn't see the problem maybe someone wiser will.

Ehm, why should the screensave start when watching a DVD? Or is it just that after the screen was blanked DVDs freeze?

The screensaver works if the video is playing non fullscreen ie UI + video in any MP page and the idle timeout occurs.

Do you use the settings . 'blank screen when idle' and/or 'turn off monitor when blanking screen' ?

Can you please provide clean logs. The logs in the initial post contain a random mix of DVD, live TV and recorded TV playback.

If you need to provide logs using various settings, provide a separate set of logs for each set of settings.

    Confirmed.

Just set screensaver to enable + Black screen.
During full screen playback, no screensaver.
During mini view playback, (in GUI) screensaver kicks in.

    Tested on
    W8 x64
    MP 1.3RC

    THE question is:
Is this a [BUG] or [FEATURE] ???
Why should screensaver not kick in? If playback is in miniview, its not like your watching the movie with 100% focus anyway. . . .
Are there situations I am missing?
Who is actually really bothered with this behaviour?

How about the the screensaver kicking in when Music NowPlaying is running fullscreen? Would like to have the option to disable the screensaver in that part also.
