tv almost never work on first attempt :( (1 Viewer)

Hello,

after upgrading to 1.0, turning on the tv feature almost never works on first attempt. it seems like the tv server is not responding and it causes mp client to hang. only way out of it is alt ctrl del. there is no problem seing the guide so obvioulsly the tv server is not completely down. this is what i get in the log:

at this point I try to stop the tv service on the server. That will hang and i manually have to kill it in the task manager, and restart it.

Now im able to start the tv option in the mp client


what could be wrong?

Same here. Oddly theres no error messages from the tv service, but it clearly does not respond. I believe this has been a problem to me since RC3 at least.

The only workaround I know is newer power off the machine and hibernate instead. Once I have to reboot I run a small batch to restart the tv service.

I have the same problem, my startup is now a batch file that wait 30 sec (ping localhost), and then stop and start the TVService, then start media portal.

This is the only way I have found to get media portal to start up after a reboot.
