TV Capture Card (PVR2000 and dvc100) suddenly not working (unabletocreategraph) (1 Viewer)

All,
For years now I have been happily capturing analogue output from my set top box using the Winfast PVR2000. I mucked around on the weekend trying to install a HDMI video card, and all of a sudden I get the message that MediaPortal is unable to create graph for this device. I have uninstalled everything associated with the video card but to no avail.

I've since tried the Pinnacle Dazzle DVC100, but same result.

Mediaportal in both instances recognises the cards, shows them in TV Server Config.

What could be going wrong? If I need to attach logs, please advise me on which ones.

It is really simple: please always post all log files.
Assuming you're running a single-seat system, use the watchdog to make it easy:

Heya, sorry for the delayed response and thanks for reminding me.

Yeah, the issue is your Dazzle tuner. If you uninstall the drivers for that I suspect it will fix the problem. However, I see that you seem to be completely unable to use the Dazzle tuner in MP. If I were you what I would do is:
1. Restart the PC. If both tuners still aren't usable...
2. Use task manager to ensure no Dazzle related software is running and preventing TV Server from using the Dazzle tuner (tuners can only be used in one app at a time, and MP will briefly need to use the Dazzle tuner when loading the Winfast tuner). If that still doesn't help...
3. Uninstall and reinstall the Dazzle tuner driver and any associated software.

If the tuners still can't be used after that... well, I'd be really interested to log into your system and do a bit of digging to figure out what is really going on.

mm, you're a champion. I manually uninstalled everything I could find to do with pinnacle and Dazzle. Then I removed the Winfast card, rebooted. Put winfast card back in, and Windows recognised all the drivers. Mediaportal now has no problem creating a graph.

Lesson learnt. Thanks for all your help.
