Hi,

Often myTV freezes on one tv-channel (not always the same channel!!!) and I can't get a signal for that channel again. Black screen. Other chanels are still fine. Only reboot works to get signal back for that channel.

example:
- looking chanel1 for about one hour, CH1 freezes
- changing chanel -> all others work fine
- changing back to CH1 -> no signal (blank screen)

Even closing myTV and getting back in doesn't help to get the signal back for CH1.
It is the same for recordings: Wackes up from standby, records for about one hour and then stops recording looses the signal sometimes.

No timeshift!
about 30GB free diskspace!

I have no idea what goes wrong. Could someone please give me a hand?
Have this on two different PCs. Only DVB-S card is the same!

FIXED!

The problem occures if xmltv file for PG and DVB-EPG are used together.

your error.log is full of errors realted to the tvseries plugin.

remove all 3rd party plugins, use MPV and MPA codecs and try again please! :)

I have been using Intervideo Codecs too, the current version has quite some issues (including black|mute MyTV).
Better to use MPV and MPA. at least for an test

    Tested:

    with/without plugins
    Intervideo codec
    MPV, MPA

    doesn't solve the problem.

Will test it with another TV card...

Is someone using the same BDA driver version as me for the cinery 1200?

Are you sure your hard drive isn't formatted as FAT32? Another person who had the same problem (hangs after watching/recording for an hour) found that it was due to the 2GB filesize limit on FAT32. After converting his drive to NTFS it worked fine.

do a clean installation of 0.2.0.0 + latest stable build.
do not install any 3rd party skins or plugins, and test it again with MPV and MPA as codecs.

and can you check that there is not a heat issue?
i.e. leave the case open, and if possible mount a fan to cool your TV-Card.

it may be a EPG related issue (DVB-EPG).

need more testing. will tell you more in a few days...
