TV doesn't turn on when returning to the TV menu (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Reasonably new to MP, having used Media Center for an extended period. I played around with MP until I could get past those little config or other issues and it's amazing for something open source, this skin included.

The problem I'm having is that in this skin I need to scroll down and click on the option to start TV whenever I go back to it (from watching something else). I've tried the basic MP Configuration options for this - which would seem to suggest that TV should automatically start and be full screen when I go to the TV screen. But neither of those happens - it's windowed and I have to manually start it.

What am I missing...?

There is an option in the main MP configuration (not related to the skin), to start TV automatically and another one to start it in full screen.

Yeah - that's the one I've tried. But when returning from watching a recording or movie etc., I'm back to the sub menu in tv, with the tv off.

If you go back to the home screen and then back to the TV sub menu does the TV re-start or not?

If you are playing a recording and the recording finishes, I don't think it will then automatically start playing live TV in the TV sub menu as soon as the recording has stopped.

Did it work differently with other skins?

I think you're right - it's the same in the other skins.
There are a lot of key presses to get from watching a movie or recording to live tv! Compared to just one for Media Center.
I use an MCE remote and I've changed what the Live Tv option does in the mapping, so the best I can now get is:

1. Press stop
2. Press menu (the Live TV button here just stays on recorded tv)
3. Move to the Watch TV option
4. Press OK

Then I'm in full screen live tv - is that about the best I'll do?

well, you can use the guide button on MCE remote to go to EPG first from anywhere in MP, then a single click on a channel starts the tv, thats the way i always do it.
