Since my last reformat/install I've been having problems getting the TV side of Mediaportal to work.
When I select My TV I get good quality Picture and sound for about 5 seconds then both freeze until I select another channel when the same thing will happen again.
There's no issue with signal strength as it happen on every channel I try. I've rescanned in MP setup and it always picks up everything first time and the TV capabilities in Windows Media Centre GUI are working fine.
I've had the same problem in MP version 2.2 and 2.3 (RC1 and 2) although it has worked before I reformatted.
The error log only seems to have this to say for itself;

2007-09-09 16:02:38.312500 [ERROR][MPMain]: No translation found for id 109811
2007-09-09 16:11:14.812500 [ERROR][MPMain]: GUIWizard: Invalid mapping!

    That could be the cause as I don't think that it is a Dx9 compatible card? I think that you need a 9550 as a minimum.

    Your MediaPortal.log file must contain a lot more than those 4 lines.

    Please set the mode to "debug" (in MediaPortal Setup) and run MediaPortal again, select a TV channel and then after it "freezes", shutdown MediaPortal and attach the resulting MediaPortal.log here.

    I'd be surprised if it's the graphics card causing the problem for three reasons;
    1: It can stream TV quite happily in Windows Media Centre and GB-PVR
    2. MediaPortal can cope with playing back any other form of video file I've thrown at it
    3. The exact same hardware used to playback TV through MediaPortal before the rebuild. The only hardware that changed was a bigger hard drive (hence the software rebuild).

    The contents of the MediaPortal.log in debug mode is attached as requested.

    Sure is DIFFICULT to get support from Team MediaPortal. :mad:

    Isn't it, Darrin2101?

    They ask for all your information and then never reply again.

    Have you tried WatchHDTV?

    Tell me about it!

    (moved to more appropriate thread)

    How is that relevant here?
    Are you encouraging me to pay for something that doesn't work for me?:confused:
