    TVguide folder ?

Are you using xmltv, or webepg to grab details, we need this info to be a specific as possible, to be able to help you. whichever software you use it will normally unless changed produce a tvguide.xml file in the xmltv folder.

    ok here we go
    I use webEPG
    and the tvguide folder i ment was tvguide.xml (I know it's not a folder :? )
but when i open the tvguide.xml i can see all the stations and programs in there. http://img190.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tvguidexml3aj.jpg
and when i do a search within MYTV i do see the programs but no station names Hmmmm. http://img190.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tvguidesearch4fd.jpg
Yet when i load the tvguide in MP it shows there are 11 channels and data http://img197.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tvguideload8ti.jpg

Yes, see your problem, no tv channel, therefore the tv guide cannot map to them. I can see no way around that without a tvcard.

i'm not sure if i got the problem right, but i use webepg too, and i also used it by a time where i've had no TV card.

    try this:

    • manually add every channel you want to in MP configuration--> television --> TV channels by click on "add" and give it a name
    • click on backup and save anywhere as ChannelList.xml
    • go to your mediaportal folder and execute WebEPG-conf.exe
    • Click on Import and load the ChannelList.xml you made 2 posts ahead
    • select the first channel in the list and click on "grabber details" --> Websites --> your prefered for your country
    • Do that for all your channels [and maybe set guide days to 14]. don't forget to click on "save" and close WebEPG-conf
    • now execute webepg.exe to parse all the data. theres no gui yet it's finished when the TvGuide-writing.xml in folder xmtv disappeares and there's just the TVGuide.xml.

now you should have the right EPG data including channels.... [you have to wait when clicked first on MP-->epg guide until MP completly imported the data]

    that's whats working for me

    :( to bad

BTW is there a way to get rid of the MP bar on top when playing a movie full screen i don't think my plasma will like that

    --> MP configuration --> Plugins --> Topbar --> [Right_Click] and Disable.

shouldn't be a problem for your plasma though

smnnekho is right, you don't need a TV tuner card to be able to see the tv guide grid.

Well at least I didn't need one, but I didn't use WebEPG to get the Tvguide.xml file, I used zap2it.com (the first method that MP used) to obtain the tv programming.
