I have been using the TV Guide (with Schedules Direct information) to schedule recordings of programs that I need to view at a later time. I've had great success in doing this for months. However, today I encountered a new problem. The TV Guide information is missing and in its place I get a garbled screen. I've not seen this problem reported elsewhere. Thinking that this simply may be an issue of a program becoming corrupt I tried to download a new program. Either the installation of this downloaded program did not succeed or it encountered the same problem because the issue that I had with the TV Guide remained.

    I know this is a late response, but do you remember if this started happening after you scanned for analog TV or FM radio channels?

    Unfortunately, the ultimate solution was a new computer. I think that the problem I encountered was due a massive problem with the computer I was using. I was never able to solve these problems with the old computerand other problems developed. Since this old machine was already running slowly and was never a good recording solution and since I was due for a new computer anyway I decided to go this route. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

    Yup, it should. I've set it to that now & if someone should be able to reproduce it, it can be changed back ;)
