TV has "Square" obscuring all picture since upgrade (1 Viewer)

Upgraded today - but now seem to have a giant "square" in middle of TV picture obscuring content ever since upgrade. This only happens in TV - movies fine. "Square" is transparent, but scaling doesn't seem to work within it - meaning you can see the colors of the picture behind it, but just look like vertical lines. Areas outside the square are perfect. The square is generally the same size as the picture menu that shows up if you right click.

I had some installation issues so I'm guessing there's an errant file or something that has caused this, but I've since reinstalled with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Just did complete reinstall again with same results. Am now wondering if this is related to SAF package which I had not previously used. Perhaps need to move this to Codecs forum - but not sure if this is the issue...
