TV no longer working after installing codec pack (1 Viewer)

So I recently did a fresh install of win 7 and mediaportal 1.1 rc1 and got freeview tuning in great. So next step was to get moving pictures and mptvseries going. Got the databases all updated nicely and went to watch a tv show, but it wouldn't play. Figured out very quickly that this was cos i was trying to watch a divx and i hadn't installed any codecs yet, so I grabbed the latest k-lite codec pack and then it was working.

Problem is that now TV doesn't work. If I select tv on, click on a channel in the tv guide or any other method of starting the tv up, mediaportal just freezes. Not just a pause before coming back with an error message - it just freezes. Still makes a noise when i press buttons on the remote, but there is no more changes visually speaking.

Have tried all the codec options for tv and not had any luck.

I think I've attached all the logs - will see when i make the post. Any help would be much appreciated!
:D

Ok a little more detail -
TV doesn't play from the TV Server Configuration form either. When I turn on the TV by any method (i.e. by preview, "TV On" in TV menu of mediaportal, or by selecting from the guide), I get a very brief flick, as if I'm switching to overlay or something, just as I would when the TV used to fire up.

Not at all convinced this is a codec problem. Seems more like there is no data to be displayed, and I have tried all the codecs. Unless when I installed the k-lite pack, I somehow changed the config of a codec or overwrote it

Ok - a little progress. I had another play with the codecs and managed to get a picture, but no sound. Oddly enough changing the audio codecs seems to stop the picture. Is that normal?
