My problem surrounds the TV Notifier plugin. I recently upgraded to 1.0.0.0 and have noticed that when I select an item I want to watch on the guide at say 6pm, the option to be notified when this programme is about to start isn't available even though the plugin is enabled. This worked in RC3 & 4 (i believe) so what's the problem in 1.0.0.0??

I don't always want to record the programme, just be notified that its about to start so that I can sit and watch it. This way, I can set up a nights viewing. Also, the ability to switch to the channel automatically from the notification would be an advantage I think.

Any help on this would be appreciated. :D

    Hi,
Where do you all enable this (i ugess you all use TV Server & TV Plugin), since it should be enabled in MP Configuration -> Television -> Notifier(or something like that(last flag at that page))?

Update: If you mean the one in MP Configuration -> Plugins -> Process & TV Notifier, thats a bug since it should be hidden when TVPlugin it's installed & TV-Server it's used instead of internal TV Engine(i'll add a Mantis issue about that one)...

    Regards

Thank you! It works now. Just to be fully clear: if you use the old integrated TV Client (not the server), then you should enable the TV Notifier plugin. It can be found via MediaPortal Configuration > Plugins > TV Notifier. If you use the new client-server setup, then you should enable the notifier via MediaPortal Configuration > Television > TV Client > Notifier tab. Thanks again.

    I still didn't find a solution

The solution works for people with TV Server... I'm using the built-in TV plugin and for me "Alert Me" option is disabled even after enabling the plugin in MP Configuration -> Plugins.

    Is this a bug?

Same problem for me: using the built-in TV-plugin, 'ALERT ME' is still disabled (<--> previous versions)
(cf. 'Issues with Mediaportal 1.0 standalone'-thread)

    Regards,
    Berndyman.
