TV Out quality: worth using vga -> composite connector? (1 Viewer)

At the moment I am using the s-video out from my nvidia 5600 and am not all that pleased with it. I'm thinking about going down the vga > adaptor route but have heard mixed reports of whther it is worthwhile or not.

Two of the cable adaptors I am toying with:

A vga > composite adaptor

and

A vga > scart adaptor

(which I guess might boil down to the same thing - I'm not too clued up on my AV stuff )

Has anyone had any success with this sort of thing? Or any other suggestion on how to improve tv out quality?

Hi,

I bought myself an vga -> scart adaptor, but when I connected it between pc and tv, no signal at all, so i screwd it open, it appears that there were only 4 cables in it, no RGB at all. I insert a site where a complete layout from a RGB cable stands, maybe you can do something with it. I'm certainly gonna try it.
