After installing the newst RC2 plus SVN I came across the following bug: After a long time of watching TV, the picture suddenly freezes while the sound still continued. This happened also while watching a time shifted show. It seems to be most frequent right after a channel change, but not at every channel change. After the pictures freezes, I can still turn off the TV, however the picture remains in the preview screen, only the sound stops and MP freezes then too and can only be stopped through the task manager.

The attached log-files show the latest occorence, when it happened rather soon, right after a channelchange.

btw: but for that, MP runs perfectly and big congratulations to the job you are doing!

think i have the same problem (single-seat setup). Picture locks up, approximately 1 in 2 channel changes. Sound continues.
Attached log-files include two channel changes. First (EinsExtra to Phoenix) successful, second one (Phoenix to DSF) locks up. Thereafter I quit Mediaportal by pressing ALT-F4.

It happened to me a couple of times, when trying to change the channel again, after the picture stands still, Mediportal locks up completely and i have to reset the PC.

Tried different skins, codecs without any effect.

what happens when you use MPV as video codec and MPA as audio codec?
because this sounds (again) like a codec problem.

i would also suggest to test tsreader. just create a usetsreader.txt on your c: :)

thanks for your quick reply. Did some extensive testing in the last couple of hours, but still don't see really clear. This is what I observed:

    1. Picture freezes also happen with MPV/MPA. (MAYBE less often)...

    2. The new tsreader seems to make a difference (freezes occur much less frequently).

    3. If i use new tsreader AND NVidia Purevideo codec (which i sort of have to for picture quality reasons), picture works quite well, but after a channel change sound kicks in 5-10 seconds AFTER the channel change (picture works alright already). This happens with different audio codecs.

    4. The picture freeze/sound continues issue is also dicussed in the thread concerning the new tsreader filter, so the problem might be somewhere else...(might also be of interest for the persons testing/working on the new filter).

Same here. In LiveTV and watching recordings video stops and sound continues. MP becomes nearly unresponsible (I had to login remote and stop it). This hasn't happened a few days ago. Logs are attached.
