Since 1.1.0 RC1 (before I had 1.1.0, latest svn) my TV recordings are not shown anymore when I select My TV/Recordings in MP. BUT: When I change the layout (cover, list...) the recordings are going to appear and I can watch them, delete etc... After watching a record (or stopping), I have to change the layout again to see records...

TV Server Config / Recordings are showing NO invalid entries

What I did:
I deleted all recordings in the recordings table in mptvdatabase manually and imported the files again via tv server config - not fixing problem

    Hi,

    I can not reproduce this problem.

    I would suggest that you uninstall mediaportal by doing a complete cleanup, then reinstall RC1 fresh. Hopefully this will work, and will help us work out whether there is actually a mediaportal bug, or whether your database has been corrupted.

    I have seen something similar with some skins, where one of the recorded TV views was missing, but this should not be a problem if you are using Blue3Wide.

    You are using TVServer 1.1.0 Beta with MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1. This will not work.
    Upgrade your TVServer to 1.1.0 RC1

    You are using TVServer 1.1.0 Beta with MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1. This will not work.
    Upgrade your TVServer to 1.1.0 RC1

    arion_p: the tv.log says "1.0.4.24669" - you're right! But when I open TV-Server config, it says at the bottom: Vers: 1.0.5.25080... That is very confusing. :confused:

    I used the "normal" RC1 Setup to install RC1. Maybe an issue in MP Installer?!

    -> I assume, that the RC1 installer not completely removed the previous TV Server SVN and only installed the new TV Server config, not the TV server itself... Maybe someone should start a bug report for the installer?!

    Workaround:

    Uninstall TV Server (Remove TV Server/Client, not Database). Now start MP RC1 Installer again, choose download and install and make your choices. Installer says, that all settings will be lost by installing, but later it will only download & install TV Server (Because you already intalled MP RC1 before).

    Now it works!

    I have the same problem. I used 1.1.0 beta before, uninstalled it (without doing a complete cleanup to save my settings and schedules), and installed MP 1.1.0RC1 AND TV Server 1.1.0RC1.

    Although I do not use an old TV Server Version, I have exactly the same problem as arneman.

    Recordings do not show up - except I change the view. Then they appear.
    In addition, the last used view is not being saved. Everytime I switch to TV Recordings, the "small symbols" view is active.

    I will set this to "no bug" to avoid confusion as the original issue (not displaying recordings) is not a bug.

    I am not sure exactly what happened during installation, but at least in your install log, the installer was called with the /noServer switch and TVServer was not installed, only TVClient (as if you selected a multiseat client installation - you did select single seat, right?).

    There have been some reports of the installer failing to uninstall previous version and IIRC this has been fixed, but I will check again. If not already fixed a new bug report should be started regarding this issue.

    Well, I definitely installed RC1 as single seat including TV server. The progress bars during the installation process showed the installation of the new tv server. But it obviously has not been installed correctly.

    that's right, I selected single seat (with tv-server).

    Hi arneman,

    I tried your workaround step-by-step. Uninstalled TV Service/Client, started Installer, downloaded all files again and reinstalled. The progress bar indicated the installation of tv service and tv plugin (all other parts were already installed).

    After installation, TV Service Config still shows the Version # 1.0.5..... SVN.

    The Recordings-Bug still exists. :( Any idea, what went wrong?

    After installation, TV Service Config still shows the Version # 1.0.5..... SVN.

    1.0.5.25080 is the number of 1.1.0 RC1 - this is alright. But I think, that this is only the version number of tv-server config file.

    For server version:

    You have to take a look in the "tv.log". In one of the first lines is the version of tv-server. I'm not sure, but I think I manually stopped tvserver.exe before uninstalling / reinstalling. Maybe that is the cause of failure, that the installer/uninstaller can't/don't stop the tvservice.exe, that it is still the old version

    I think you still have the old tv-server running... But this is really confusing...
