    (Will follow up with logs if this is a bug rather than a feature change.)
    Since RC2 I no longer seem to have matching xml files in my TV Recordings folder. Browsing Recorded TV within MediaPortal has the data show up somehow, perhaps via the database? Is this normal behaviour or indeed a bug?
    I require the xml files for use when I move said files for editing and storage within My Videos.

    Just tested with a manual recording and works just fine (xml is created as soon as recording starts).
    Have you tried new recordings?

    Tried a new recording and still no xml file.
    Full logs attached.
    Here's the likely culprit, from TVserver error.log

    2010-04-21 09:04:52.656250 [(17)]: RecordingDetail: exception occured Error: UnexpectedRowCountUnclassified
    Gentle.Common.GentleException: The number of returned rows 0 did not match the expected count of 1.
    If concurrency control is enabled this may indicate that the record was updated or deleted by another process.

    at TvService.RecordingDetail.get_IsRecording()

    Now how to fix this?

    I have a similar finding in my TV-Server error.log file. I could copy/paste my thread & logs here, but will use a link instead. I was testing another problem when I observed the same entry in the error.log each time I would manually try to STOP recording of a TV program. I figure my detailed description & logs may help you focus on the underlying problem!

    Disable EPG grabbing while timeshifting and try to reproduce it.

    The idSetting value may be different for other people, so better to use:
    Code (Text):
    1. UPDATE setting SET value='yes' WHERE name='createtaginfoxml';
