TV Search and the letter A (1 Viewer)

The disadvantage of the old single letter search was that many people have a lot of shows starting with a given letter. The virtual keyboard allows for the user to input multiple letters as search string, thereby reducing the amount of pages to go through when looking for a specific show.

Sure - the multiple character search is cool - but would still work.
The best of both worlds would be to also still allow the option of a single letter via the numbers on remote.
That would avoid need of onscreen keyboard (or physical keyboard) for most people.

Probably even better would be proper multi-char entry via abc, def etc from remote.
Does MP support this already?

Wow, I didn't realize I started such a conversation.. Straight up though, here in New Zealand we don't have that many channels and it would be nice to just have the option to get rid of it, also the option to make view by Title as default.. This can't be that hard.. Come on next SVN please!!!!!

How is everyone else able to do it? Hell, it's about the only thing in SageTV that works at all, and even that is iffy.

Personally, I can live with it, but please make it easier so my wife doesn't kill me.
