TV server 1.0
Pinnacle 310i (Analog, DVB and FM) Phillips chipset 713xx
DVB-Tworks fine - Analoge TV and FM does not.
TV server can find and lock in analog TV stations but can't preview without crashing - cites 'unknown error'
TV log suggests all is working fine .. station is locked in, encoder locked in.. then ....
Tries to find audio stream and doesn't continue.
Typical message in tv.log:
card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - no audio was found after 21.xxx seconds
HARDWARE:
Pinnacle 310i (Recommended by media portal)
p4 2.8, 2 gigs, Vista
Nvidia Gforce 8xxx
using Pinnacle Mediacentre driver package which includes mpeg decoder and analog drivers
Analog and FM working fine in Microsoft media centre - Not TV server.
DVB-T working flawlessly
TV sample log attached
:D

Can you give me a link to the pinnacle files/filters used so I can test for this .

In have a 310i in my XP based test pc, I just use/test DVB-T at the moment which as you say is flawlesss.

Also for uploading bugs please use the inbuilt MP Watchdog log collector as this will contain all necessary logs for bug hunting.

I can confirm the bug, logs attached.

    Also TVSERVER crashed.

If anyone else is using a 310i and has success with TVSERVER and analog then please post which pinnacle filters/drivers you are using before this is submitted as a bug.

Second test after reboot with TVSERVER set to manual service startup.

I ran the pinnacle app first and tuned an analog channel which worked fine, then closed the app and then started TVSERVER.

TVSERVER now correctly started analog timeshifting but the preview produced no sound, playing the buffer in VLC gave sound though.

Closing the analog preview crashed setuptv. The TVSERVER carried on analog timeshifitng.

Start setuptv again and used the manual tab to stop the timeshifting OK.

What I conclude is the pinnacle app needs to run first or the analog filters aren't enabled, haven't seen that before.

    Thanks

    Thanks Scidoctor.
I'm still on my learner plates with this program
    Pinnacle app/drivers I used were
Vista 32 bit System drivers for the 310i (Pinnacle PCTV drivers)
Pinnacle PCTV Installer for Windows Media Center 3.1 (also on site .. won't paste massive link)
** I just found version 3.2 on their website and will try that also on second run)**
I DIDN'T load the Pinnacle TVCenter Pro 4.94a program - is this the pinnacle app you are referring to?

I will post watchdog log collector this evening.

    Cheers ...J
