The problem I found is that the TV server cannot connect to local MySQL via localhost or "127.0.0.1" address. I found that I must have one active external link (e.g. the ethernet or the wi-fi) available with an valid IP address. Then, I also need to configure MySQL to bind with the external address, to get TV server successfully connected. </p><p></p><p>This is strange and also not convinient since I want the standalone MP machine offline in most of the time, but occasionally dial out to access internet.
