Possibly... but more likely you didn't completely uninstall MP/TV Server. For MediaPortal, did you do a full product cleanup or just a standard uninstall? In case I wasn't clear, by "completely remove" I meant do a full product cleanup - not just uninstall.

Hostname was Main-PC......and I'm not sure about the dependency....but both were red

So, as per my suggestion: full uninstall of MP and MySQL is required as a first step. Once you can get back to that connection setting box, then lets talk.

Right....!!
Have spent some time now....uninstalling MYSQ an MP via Progs and features. Have also deleted MySQL files from Prog files.
Progress halts at 'installing MySQL' and I continue to be presented with a dialogue saying there is an error: 1...and my only option is to 'OK' and quit installation.

Have repeated above several times...same result...

Any thoughts please!!?

Good question....am trying to find them right now![DOUBLEPOST=1380715124][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok...have found the data files...one for 5.1 and another for 5.6...both large, around 110mb each.

Which part of the file do I need to post please??

I've saved the 5.1 error files as txt...here it is.

There is no corresponding file in the 5.6 data folder
