I have 2 LNBs and total 2 500 DVBS channels. Selecting of ANY setting in TV server configuration tree that shows full channel list (TV channels, TV Mappings, EPG Grabber etc.) takes for me around 30 seconds.
Same issue with MP 1.0.2 on my other PC with Phenom 9950 (4 cores @ 2.8GHz), so i don't think it is a slow CPU issue (besides that fact that CPU Usage doesn't go higher as 20% on any PC).
Any kind of sorting of already populated list takes around 20 seconds, so it is little faster than loading of channel list.
I tested it with MySQL and with MS SQL Server without any change in speed.
I am afraid to even guess how many time i will spend on channels sorting/setup after installing dual LNB to support 2 receivers and connecting second input of my DVB-S card to it, because i will get over 5 000 channels.
I don't use .NET controls at my work, but in Delphi filling listviews with 100 000 entries takes around 1 second. So I hope it is not a restriction of .NET framework controls.
this issue is 100% reproducable, so no logs are required (i hope). If i am wrong and you need logs - then let me know.
I also can send you my channels DB for testing if you need.

can anyone check this issue? it is very annoying, and it can\t be only me because it is reproducable with XP and W7 on different PCs with any MP version

100% reproducible for you, you mean.

If i am wrong and you need logs - then let me know.

    You are wrong!

Please guys. It doesn't seem to matter how many times we say it. Logs are ALWAYS required. They rule out possible problems, including hardware/other software issues.

Would you rather the team spend their limited time trying to work out what is going wrong on one user's system, which may be due to user error (as many of the reported bugs are) or would you prefer us to fix the real bugs? With very limited resources, it is impossible to do everything, which is presumably why no-one has responded to your post.

From now on, I will do what I should have been doing, and just delete threads that are posted without logs.

ok, here we are with logs
I just deleted all logs and started TV Server config program. Exactly at 3:24:00 selected "TV Channels". It took 40 seconds to populate it.
After that at 3:25:30 i selected group "All channels". It took 1 minute 22 seconds to populate it (and there is definitely an absense of BeginUpdate/EndUpdate, because here i see that scrollbar thumb of channel listbox getting smaller and smaller just after drawing of GUI).
You cannot see these manipulations in logs, but i attached the only log that has been created after i closed TV Server config program (please, note that this is really the only log, so even if you ask me why i sent only one file - i will answer "because there is only one file created after opening and closing of TV server program"
    Hope this will help.
