TV Server config - MySQL to 50% (1 Viewer)

When I am in the TV Server config and I click on either "TV Channels" or "Radio Channels" to get a list of the channels, it takes about 5 to 6 seconds and during that time my MySQL server is doing around 50% cpu usage.

Why is it this slow? I asume it's just getting a couple records from MySQL which should not really take 5 to 6 seconds. Is it doing more or is something simply wrong in my set up.

with my clean MP1.0 install i do not have the same problem. please collect the log files and upload them for a developer to have a look at

How do I do that? (not that I'm a pc noob or anything but I simply never went into mediaportal as far as having to debug it and produce logfiles)

Logs can be collected with MP Logs collector found in start menu -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal

I've seen that one, however it's not a problem with mediaportal, but with the tvserver.

If the server is on that pc it will collect logs from both, otherwise run it from whichever machine has TVServer installed.

But the chances are, all the high cpu is showing is the import of EPG\Channel data, which we know can be intensive and also slow.
rtv (MP Dev) was talking about a complete rewrite of the code for doing this to speed things up.
