OK, I spent 2 days reading wicki, reading SQL etc. Solved it this way:Uninstalled MediaPortal and TV-ServerUninstalled every SQL application on my machine (SQL Express, SQL 2005 Developers edition)Reinstalled SQL 2005 Express and selected the following non-default settings: Selected Mixed Mode Authentication: used a password I selected. After installation: used surface area configuration to allow remote connections both TCP/IP and Named PipesReinstalled MediaPortal for single seat. The SQL issue is now resolved - TV-Setup gets all the way thru and I see my dual tunerHowever - new problems which I will open a new stream and perhaps beg for some help. Boy this is frustrating.
