Completely removed MP, TV Server
Kept MSSQL

Reinstalled SVN 03-16-2008
No icon on desktop after installation
start->programs ->MediaPortal->MediaPortal TV Server
set mssql config hit test, all fields turned green, hit save
got the MessageBox for "Should I stat the service" hit ok
TV Server management console appears
Expanded TV Servers->mediacenter and clicked on ATSC Hauppauge WinTV 418 BDA Tuner (I have a hvr-1600)
Clicked on scan for channels
Got Signal level of 100% and Quality always of 0% (I should receive at least 2 ATSC signals here, but I dont have another tuner to test with)
Did a scan on Analog channels as soon as it hit one that has a strong signal, tv server crashed
Even tried adding the card to a hybrid group same results.

I have used MP / TV Server for several months now not using the TV part, just using MP for music, and videos, hoping progress had been made on getting the 1600 to work. I noted some posts saying the 1600 works, but most of the posts relate to MP and not TV Server. What can I do to get this working in TV Server?

Weird things is that MCE can see the atsc channels and analog channels

Peter
PS. I dont really want to blow away MSSQL as I have almost 500gb of movies set up with imdb info that I dont want to have to releoad (am assuming that is stored in the db).

Got this fixed by uninstalling TV3, MP AND blowing away the database. Now MP crashes sigh...guess I'll try posting in the MP forum.
