Hello,
I'm trying to install a dedicated TV-server on my server box. A few things go a little wrong.
1) It's Windows 2008, and it says it needs several hotfixes. Which hotfixes does it need, why do I need them and why would MS refuse to release them for my OS?
2) It wants to download DirectX, but why on earth would it do that? It's win2008 so it oughta be recent enough to record some TV-shows, would it not? On top of that, DirectX is updated through WUP, iirc.
3) Worst thing that happened to me is that the installer wants to download and install MySQL. But here's the thing, I already have MySQL 5 and I pointed the installer to the right installation directory. Now I'm afraid that continuing with the installation will overwrite the existing install and destroy my current config. How do I tell the installer NOT to download&install MySQL?
That's it for now.
