Faster than a speeding bullet. At first glance that seems to work - it saved the record this time anyway.

Thanks. It is working great now.

One minor thing. I don't suppose you could beef up the skinning documentation. I have been pushing Nico to skin this for Avalon, and he is having a bit of trouble understanding what is needed.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

First, let me say that I have only just come across this plugin - and I think it's fantastic. Solves so many issues about repeats and scheduling things that I know are going to start, I know the name - but don't know when it will re-appear. A classic example is Top Gear - bound to be at least one more series next year, but who knows when! This plugin simply removes that problem. If I'm away it should just be recorded.

I am only beginning to dig into the sophistication and have come across one thing that I find curious. As an example I have set up a new schedule this morning for a series running on E4 in the UK, called Rules of Engagement. This is repeated many times during the week, the first occurrence on each day being at around 16.30 and then the following morning at around 02.00. All this week the 16.30 show is recorded and the later (02.00) show is not. Perfect. Next Monday, the 16.30 show is ignored but the repeat at 02.30 is the one set up to record (this pattern seems to occur over the next week or so). I had expected that it would always be the first occurrence that would get recorded, and am curious to know what might have caused this. I have checked - there are no other scheduled recordings that would interfere with the 16.30 show that might have prevented it being scheduled. Almost everything is at the default setting and the shows are clearly identified by episode name in the EPG (the Monday showing is Rules of Engagement (Game On) and this label is identical in the later showing.

For this particular series there are no problems with the recordings set up as they are, but it might some other time so I thought I'd ask.

One other question while I'm here, and that's about the order in which the search for a programme is done across the channels. Is the search and scheduling done in the order in which the channels are listed in the group? For example, in the UK, we have at last got the BBC broadcasting in SD and HD simultaneously for the BBC1 channel and my channel listing order is BBC HD then BBC1 HD then BBC1. I can get the BBC1 HD channel via satellite only but have the BBC1 SD channel on both DVBS and DVBT. Obviously I prefer to get the DVBS HD broadcast first, but if that card is tied up on something I can always use the SD version via DVBT. Does TVWishListMP follow this order?

Otherwise, I can only say it again, this is just great. Many thanks for your work:D

    elliottmc,
attached is an updated manual with skin pictures. The labels are a little bit difficult to read, but together with the text description it should work out. i also corrected a bug in the skin section.

    wjw,
to answer your first question I would need a log file from you with verbose debug on. I am not doing any sorting of the EPG data (would take too much time) so i suspect it depends on how your data are stored in the data base.
On your second question i am not following any order. A safe way to do what you want is to define two groups (HD and SD) and repeat the same tvwish twice - first for the HD group, second for the SD group. The plugin follows the tvWish order and will first search for HD and then for any missed movies on the SD group.

    Huhu huha,

i have problems installing the latest version of your plugin (with MP 1.2.1)

it says: "One part of the folowing path could not be fould >> ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Installer\TvWishList\skin\StreamedMP <<

in fact it's the StreamedMP folder, which is missing. Is there something wrong with the installer ??

    regards

    Other probs/questions:

    * Has the columns "[ ] Use Folder" been deleted? I can't find it anymore :(
    * What about the column "Record Type"? in the dropdown list there is no longer "episode/all episodes" for choose? Did you delete this?

    huha,

Thanks for the reply. As I said, this behavior isn't actually causing any problems so I'm happy to live with it. However, if you want some additional things to do (!) I can should be able to reproduce by simply deleting the schedule and recreating with verbose turned on. Let me know if you want.
