Hello.

I've just installed an Tv Card Hauppauge (pvr500) and the result is really not so good on my tv.

When I've made some test, ok it was shown on a LCD tv and now I have to use the s video to go into analog to connect to my crt tv.

I now that for best result I have to replace my tv for an lcd but will not do that know.

Is there any settings I can change to have a better quality on the tv ?
Where Can I start my search ?
Tks

For Mpeg transmissions, try installing Cyberlink Power DVD 8 or 9, and set Media Portal to use the Cyberlink decoder for TV decoding in the configuration. Even though the Power DVD trial app expires, you can keep using the codec without issue. An alternative to installing Power DVD is to install the K-Lite package which includes just the codec without the Power DVD app.

If you have a video card which can support Mpeg2 Hardware Acceleration, the picture should come up really well.

In my experience this codec has always produced really good results for MPEG 2 stream transmissions, though I'm not sure how it goes with H264 transmissions.
