My TV server won't start. Everything on the client side is fine.

Log file attached.

Key error seems to be:
2011-07-18 23:09:51.184000 [SetupTv(1)]: Exception ystem.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.1.1.40:31456

I was playing with the config (Dumb during Tour de France change moratorium!)
Moving the DTV cards across groups, something happened, the config froze, then crashed. Now it won't start.
Tried starting from service manager.

I was also doing a Windows Update at the same time (not sure if that is relevant) to the latest WinXPSP3 patch level.

Have moved the config file out of the media portal directory as recommended somewhere - same problem.

Don't want to have to re-install...

Any ideas?

Small update...

I did a system restore, and there has been a change. At first, it seemed to say it couldn't find the the config file. This is shown in the new error.log file.

I then changed the TVServer.exe.config to tvserver.config. as found elsewhere on this board.

Now there is nothing in the error.log, but it still doesn't start.

Also added a new log file (This one is TV.log)- this shows some more details (didn't find this one earlier)

OMG fixed it.

Seems that when it crashed the config got stuffed up.

The log file I posted above showed a conflict where a card had been mapped to card group twice.

Removed the 2nd mapping:

delete * from cardgroupmap where idmapping=6;

All good!

(Think this was a very particular set of circumstances, but if anybody reading this has this problem, it might be a headstart. If a few others do, then it might be worth a bug report.)
