    Yeah, let's see how it goes. Btw. could this have anything to do with the "Enable CRC check" option? Or would the CRC checksums be missing for the whole Astra 19.2 channels, and not just a few?

    Great question... :)
    I'm afraid I have no idea of the answer though - our EPG here is delivered through MHEG 5 (not supported in MP yet) so I use XMLTV. You'd need someone who has experience with receiving Astra 19.2e to give you advice about that. Of course you could also test yourself...

    [Edit: of course I should say that here in NZ, the satellite providers set their own parameters, so it is entirely possible that some channels have CRCs and some don't (depending on provider).]

    Hm, but even if it is the CRC checksum, I reckon that this would be a problem for more people then and not just me.

    Btw. do you happen to know any freeware service monitor tools, that can notify me, if a service has crashed/stopped (and maybe even start it again automatically)? I found a few, but they all cost a lot of money, for some reason...

    After some further testing around, I can almost reliably let the TV server crash by only grabbing EPG from GoTV or TW1. I searched around a bit, there were some posts suggesting that GoTV only provides a "corrupt" DVB-EPG. Indeed, I think I never actually had DVB-EPG data from GoTV in the past. Though I am wondering why this would suddenly cause a crash for the TVservice.

    If the EPG has an unexpected format/structure then performing processing that would usually be fine may easily cause TV Server to crash. All it requires is an attempt to divide by 0 or some such thing. I think at this point we would need a one minute TS dump from that transponder in order to track down why the crash is occurring. There are instructions -->here<-- for grabbing and uploading a TS dump.

    Should I run timeshifting as instructed on that site or simply invoke an EPG refresh (with only GoTV and TW1 selected for EPG grabbing) instead?

    Hi again

    Definitely timeshift with EPG grabbing turned off, otherwise TV Server may crash before the minute is over. ;)

    I've uploaded the files yesterday, under the name Austria_Astra1H_12662.75_DVB-S_* :)

    Did you (or someone else) have a chance to look at the dumps yet? Otherwise I'll try a full, clean reinstall on the weekend and also run memtest86+ over night.

    We have two new channels in Austria, ORF SPORT+ and ORF III (the latter one is actually on the frequency of a previous channel, TW1). However, I am unable to watch either of these channels. Whenever I want to tune to these channels (manually via SetupTV), I get an "unknown error" and I basically have to restart the PC, because the TV card will not work anymore after that, even if I restart the TV service. The error log only says
    Code:
    2011-10-26 17:27:29.234375 [(19)]: Exception :System.AccessViolationException: Es wurde versucht, im geschützten Speicher zu lesen oder zu schreiben. Dies ist häufig ein Hinweis darauf, dass anderer Speicher beschädigt ist.
       bei DirectShowLib.IMediaControl.Stop()
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDvbBase.StopGraph()
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDVBS.StopGraph()
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.TvCardBase.FreeSubChannel(Int32 id, Boolean continueGraph)
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDvbBase.FreeSubChannel(Int32 id)
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDvbBase.Tune(Int32 subChannelId, IChannel channel)
       bei TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDVBS.Tune(Int32 subChannelId, IChannel channel)

    I then finally made the complete, clean reinstallation of the TV server (though still 1.1.3 for now, I'll need more time to update all the clients to 1.2.1 as well), with manually checking that everything in Program Files and AppData was deleted and I did not re-import any settings or channels from the previous installation. I made a fresh channel scan (I manually altered the URLs in the satellites.xml, since they do not work anymore), but the same error still occurs. The reason why I post this here: the original problem in the original post of this thread still occurs as well. I thought maybe this is related somehow.

    I also ran Prime for 24 hours on the server, to check if there may be a hardware problem with the RAM or CPU for instance, since the error message suggests, that this might be the problem. But no errors occurred so far in these 24 hours. I am currently suspecting, that it's actually the TV cards fault? I mean, it's a clean installation, CPU and RAM show no errors after a 24 hour stress test, I don't know what else I could do.
