    Hi,

I have a series recording set to record every time on a certain channel and to skip recording if it already exists.

While watching live tv the tv service will crash trying to record a show that already has been recorded.

It seems to me that it manages to get into an endless recursion, eventually exhausting the stack space and terminating.

I will have to investigate further.

Thanks Arion, need any help let me know.

Btw, TV Service seems to survive the continuous attempts to record when the MP client is not running but of course the service will hog the cpu and log it's little heart out.

I don't know whether you would like some more evidence - or even if my problem is the same, although I think it is. I attach a TVService log from last night showing an issue with repeat recordings.

Please look at line beginning with

    2010-08-30 20:40:48.063000 [(20)]

at which point TVService stops (I have set Windows to always restart this service after a failure). You might then want to look at the series of lines beginning

    2010-08-30 20:41:10.533000

I don't understand any of this.

    At the line beginning

    2010-08-30 20:42:00.570200

TVService starts again - because I restarted it, having noticed that it had failed to start recording at 8.00pm.

    Then at line beginning

    2010-08-31 01:43:06.496000

    until the line beginning

    2010-08-31 02:42:59.787000

you can see 1 hour of log recordings.
