Hi i have installed Media Portal V1 onto my 64bit Vista machine.
When trying to open the Tv-Service Config, it confirmed my server password, then says the tvservice has not started - do you want to start ? i click yes, it goes away and eventually comes back with error 'TV Service not started' then opens the config window, but it is not allowing me to alter things as the service is not started.
I have downloaded the Tv Library on this page - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/untested-mediaportal-tv-server-1-0-rc2-svn-builds-290/mediaportal-svn-snapshot-07-25-2008-22-31h-revision-19778-rar-42851/index4.html#post287147 And this has not helped.
When looking in the services of my comp, it has tvservice listed to start automatic but is stopped. If i start it - it starts then imediatally stops again.
I have previously had Mediaportal installed without Tvservice and i could scan for channels and watch all the Free ones. Now i want to do this with tvservice so i can watch the tv on my laptop in bed. so that rules out the card or the card drivers being faulty.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening ?
Thanks in advance
Sweany
