Hi.

I'm using MP1.12 and my TV (DVB-S) randomly stops working. It just switchs to a black screen. In other post I could read that EPG should be the issue. I disabled it and let WebEPG running. No success. Timeshifting tested with several settings. no success. Timeshifting goes to a ram drive.

If I restart TV server MP cannot find it and shows me the coniguration screen for it.

Restarting the PC works. After several seconds, mostly minutes and sometimes an hour it fails again.

My logs are attached.
At the moment I have no real Idea.
Do you have another one?

With best regards
Christian

Normally it is working with ramdrive. tested it also without. At MP 1.8 it was never an issue.

    Hi Christian

First, I recommend you configure your codecs for TV (...and videos too, if you use MP to play video files):
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...nfiguration/9_Codecs_and_Renderer/1_TV_Codecs

...and my TV (DVB-S) randomly stops working.
MP is intentionally stopping TV playback because audio (renderer) outputs are changing:

My guess is that the change is related to HDMI or a Bluetooth device or something like that.

The reason for stopping TV is that the audio output you were using might be removed. MP can't switch to a new output without stopping and restarting the TV/video/whatever.

If you want MP to try to keep playing (might fail) then either simply untick the "stop playback on removal of an audio renderer" setting shown here:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...guration/11_General/5_Startup_Resume_Settings

It just switchs to a black screen.
If you press the ESCAPE key on your keyboard (or back/X key on your remote) it should take you back to the TV home page.

In other post I could read that EPG should be the issue.
Those other posts were wrong. The situation you're seeing has nothing to do with EPG.

    Regards,
    mm

    Thanks mm.

Yes, I switched from optical audio out to HDMI. Now Realtek claims there is any cable connected/disconnected all the time. Changed the setting you pointed and at the moment it is running.

I'll test a longer time and then enable DVB EPG again.
    Thanks for this.

You recommended to use other TV codecs? What is wrong with the defaults? Or did you mean to set a specific renderer?

    With best regards
    Christian

Yes, I switched from optical audio out to HDMI...
    Ahhh, that makes sense. :)
Let me know if you have any further problems.

You recommended to use other TV codecs? What is wrong with the defaults?
The defaults are to use the codecs which are preferred by the system. In your case those appear to be:
[2015-12-26 11:36:29,859] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Disconnecting all pins from filter MPEG Audio Decoder
    ...
[2015-12-26 11:36:29,860] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Disconnecting all pins from filter Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder

From past reports I know that the MPEG Audio Decoder can cause problems. I think you'd get better results if you use the CyberLink or LAV codecs (already installed and available), but this is only a recommendation/opinion. :)
