I 've some TV streaming problems with 1.16pre. This morning we tried to watch some recordings and everytime MP crashed after (about)20 minutes. I will gather clean logs later today because now I have tried too many setting combinations (EVR/MADVR, DShow AR/MPAR, RTSP/UNC paths) to be sure about anything. I will try later those settings which worked earlier in 1.15.

Meanwhile could anyone tell me what could trigger events below? It seems that everytime about three seconds later stream is stopped after bunch of these log entries:
[MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: WM_DEVICECHANGE (Event: DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE)
[MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: Device type is DBT_DEVTYP_DEVICEINTERFACE - Name: (my servername)

I'd guess the two things (crashes and log entries) are connected.

Something network related. Perhaps network interface (NIC) hardware disconnected or disabled (driver)... or maybe (unlikely) network connection dropping out. Check your Windows system event log for messages about your network.

Thanks MM! I checked event logs from the server side and there were few power events related to NIC. It seems that windows (very nice!) automatic driver update feature has replaced NIC drivers and restored default settings. So all power saving settings that I had disabled earlier were back on again.

It is quite better now (not yet crashed), but some gaps on audio and/or video is still visible (buffer underrun?). I will do more testing tomorrow.
