Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to get the TV tuning in MediaPortal to play nicely for some days now, unfortunately after tweaking pretty much everything I've now run out of skill (I didn't have a lot to begin with).
Essentially my problem is that TV tuning within MediaPortal takes a long time. The initial tune isn't too bad but is over 7 seconds but everything after that is much longer. If I change channel I will get a blank screen for a long time and then eventually I will receive a picture from the previous channel I was tuning in to. Eventually the "new" channel will filter through but the process can take 45 seconds or a lot longer.
I've reinstalled MediaPortal several times, have reinstalled both of my TV cards and have tried tweaking most of the settings within MediaPortal sadly without improvement. I'm not sure if it's connected but I also have a bad audio sync problem, this happens when using both FFDShow Video Decoder and Microsoft DVD-DVD Video Decoder. I have my renderer set to default sound device but have tried all other settings to try and gain an improvement.
I've run MediaPortal in debug mode but for some reason MP is hanging just after I've selected the channel I wanted, the log file is attached.
Any ideas from this fine community would be much appreciated!
