Tv won't turn on but channel scanning fine in configuration? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a problem with media portal. When I turn on media portal, hit tv on, the tv screen is blank (I try hitting the tv on a few times but with to no avail). No problems with MP's menu system. The card is able to channel scan just fine in the configuration, detects everything properly. Channels have been added/assigned to the card. The card works fine in the manufactures own software (WinTV). I even used VLC media player to bring up the video card just fine with audio (but can't change the channel of course in VLC).

Is this a codec issue maybe?

I used to have the nemo codec pack but uninstalled it due to errors it was causing with windows movie maker 2. So I installed K-Lite Codec Pack.

i had same problem m8 but i resolved it. on the player click tv on. then choose your channel.

Nope, doesn't work. Tried installing the stable version of MP to no avail.

sounds like the same problem i'm having. First time i loaded it was not working, tried it the next day it was sweet. Scans are fine, and I have had it working, tried updating my tv guide info and stuff and now I lost picture again.

could it be the LNB?

Yeh I have the same problem. All I get is a blank pop up and an ok button. Used to work dont know what has happened. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling MP but it doesnt work anymore.

Anyone fixed it yet?

Hey,

I followed the wiki for installing.

I uninstalled mediaportal
I reinstalled mediaportal (latest)
installed netframework 2.0 (repair installed as I already had it installed)
checked my configurations, which were fine.

All working mint!

it could of been something to do with netframework that helped. but thats what I done and its all mint.

try that.
