Long time MP using first time LIVE TV user. All running well under Win 7 with MediaPortal 1.1 ALPHA was wondering can MP transcode the mpeg recording on the fly to say xvid ect or even after and if so can some one point me to thread. Cheers

no. consider MCEBuddy for that task. Just change the filename mask from .dvr-ms to .ts, and direct it to yr recordings. it will do a number of formats including xvid and x264. in my exp it doesnt like the machine going to s3leep while its transcoding. To stop this from happening, add mencoder to the processes list in powerscheduler
