TV3 MCE blaster - works, but sure does blink a lot. (1 Viewer)

So, I have the plugin working on the TV Server. It will change the channels on the STB, but have some behavior with the blaster I am wondering about.

When blasting, the LED will flash many many times before sending the number to the STB. Maybe 10 times. Then it will move to the next digit and do the same thing, if not flash more times. Then, on the third digit it will flash a lot as well. The last flash always is the one that the STB picks up. I can tell it is the last one because of the delay between digits.

I have tinkered with all of the settings and this phenomenon remains. I'm just wondering if this is normal behavior or not. When I used this same blaster in MCE it would blink once, one time for each of the three digits.

Using the blaster with a Motorola DSR9222.

I use the blaster with a scientific atlanta and I get several blinks per digit. Maybe 3 or 4...

it is just sending the code as it was taught. If you held down the button when teaching the code, or if the supplied code set was taught that way then it will take longer to change channels because each digit takes longer to transmit. Try teaching the ir codes again with short presses..

Ok. I will be installing again tonight. My first post was incorrect, the stb always receives the first blink, the others are ignored. I'll let you know how things come out.

Yes, it does work as you say. I set it up again and made a concious effort to quickly press and release the buttons on the remote and now it just blinks once per digit.
